Booking Through Thursday – Disaster!

You’ve just dropped your favorite, out-of-print book into a bathtub, ruining it completely … What do you do now?

Whine. Post on the BookCrossing forums about it. Then pop onto AbeBooks and see about finding another copy.

One time my cat urinated on my backpack, utterly destroying the book I was currently reading. But then, it was The Da Vinci Code, so she may have just been commenting on my taste in literature.

  1. Nah, if your cat was only commenting on the book she would have managed to take it out of the bag first.

  2. I would never read in the tub…don’t people know that is where most home accidents occur? Why would they want to endanger a book like that? Here’s My BTT.

    • I don’t read in the tub either, for exactly that same reason, but I figured I’d just go with the spirit of the question. There have certainly been occasions when the book I’ve been reading has been rendered unreadable, through my own fault or others’.

  3. Hahaha great answer! Love the cat part. Mine is at The Crowded Leaf.
